The Alwaye Settlement HSS was established in 1927 and managed by The Alwaye Settlement Society. The Alwaye Settlement is more than a school. Over a century old, had a glorious past, a past long forgotten, a past that beckons attention. Children from all walks of life get admitted here and the old ideals continue, the school maintains the efficiency, discipline and the vision it has always stood for.

The School is a Co-educational Unaided English Medium School recognized by the Govt of Kerala and the public examinations are conducted by the Kerala Department of Higher Secondary Education.
